This is what I would call a “growth picture”. It’s my kids, who are 6 1/2 years apart, outside of our favorite resort. In the first picture, my daughter is literally holding up my son, as he was only 10 months old. In the second one, taken 4 years later, he is just resting his arm on his sister’s shoulder as he so often does.
We had already been going to WDW regularly when our daughter came along, so we knew that she would be coming back. We started taking pictures of her with the totem pole in our favorite resort, The Wilderness Lodge, from her first visit at 6 months. Even if we don’t stay at the Wilderness Lodge, we always plan a visit there to get a picture of the kids in front of the totem pole.
The important thing when planning growth pictures is choosing something to measure them against that probably won’t be changing for about 18 years!
Besides Disney, there are other ways to take “growth pictures. I love to take pictures of my kids feet and hands. (The beach is a good place to do this.)
